Chef Jodi Strang founded The Eighty Six as a community space for hospitality workers—a place to connect with like-minded people who share a similar lifestyle, where Monday is the new Sunday.
Beyond social connection, The Eighty Six provides training, workshops, mental health support, and a pre-vetted jobs board. Currently operating as a digital platform with pop-up events across London, the long-term vision is to establish permanent brick-and-mortar hubs throughout the UK.
The visual identity balances controlled chaos with bold, simple graphics—reflecting the fast-paced, back-of-house environment where big personalities and direct communication rule. The colour palette nods to the nocturnal lifestyle of hospitality workers, with the signature blue drawn from familiar functional items ubiquitous in the industry.
